| 91. The Siren’s Song I sat adrift in a sea of remorse No breeze to speed my journey The wind had fallen from my sails To be replaced by the cold reality of dismay A seasoned sailor I had been I charted a successful course for years Until my eyes befell such beauty That I gladly set course for uncharted waters Had I but covered my ears I would have heard The true calling for that which I was intended Instead I listened to the siren’s cry A willing castaway amongst other shipwrecks My fleet is now gone shattered upon the rocks My crew drowned by the bitter storm of chaos But gladly do I stay on course For the siren’s song is all that matters |
